Three designs to wear AVA all year round
A lightweight tee, a cardigan for when the air turns cool and a shawl that works with both. Three designs made for different moments of the year, with a simple, delicate look that’s easy to wear.
What ties AVA together
All three designs share the same lace stitch, but each one uses it in its own way. In the tee and the cardigan it runs through the yoke and the sleeves; in the shawl it takes centre stage and covers the whole piece.

They are three different designs, but you can tell they belong to the same collection: simple lines, a delicate texture and garments made to be worn again and again.

I loved making this tee and will be making more in other colours as well, this is a staple summer tee! The pattern is very detailed and I love that if I am ever in doubt, I can refer back to the videos.

The pattern was easy to follow with words, images, and videos. It even has helpful checklists for the rows you need to repeat multiple times. Mindful shaping and design makes the final garment look very polished!

An easy crochet shawl with a great result!

Thirty-two makers tested the three patterns before they went on sale: twelve the shawl, twelve the tee — covering all six of its sizes — and eight the cardigan. The shawl was worked in twelve different yarns.
Common questions
Which one should I start with?
If you’re not sure which to pick first, the shawl is a good place to start. There’s no size to choose and no ease to work out, and it lets you get to know the lace stitch before you make the tee or the cardigan.
Do I need the same yarn for all three?
No. In fact, each one is designed for a different time of year: we made the tee in cotton and the cardigan in merino. You can use any Fingering-weight yarn that meets the gauge given in each pattern.
Worn together
We tried the cardigan with the shawl during a photo shoot and loved the result. Two different designs, the same lace stitch, and a combination that works especially well.
